About 47% of emails are opened on smartphones. If your email does not render on Android and IOS devices, chances are your reader will not be clicking through. In 2015, you will start to see mobile first designs for emails, and email providers that do not offer a mobile design tool will be in hurry to catch up.

Stop selling and take a genuine interest in your consumer. Consumers are looking at businesses for engaging content. Information on your product or service is not enough. Think of your buyers’ personas and try to create content they would like to read.

it’s easy on the eyes

Nobody enjoys looking at Excel spreadsheets for hours on end. Most email providers already offer data visualization for reporting regarding click-throughs and open rates. Expect deeper analytics in the future, with the ability to identify trends in your data.

A great example is the ad of the iPhone 6 “bowing” to the Galaxy 6, in response to reports of the iPhone 6 bending. If you want to engage in real-time marketing, make sure to respond quickly. Most trends die within a day or two. Don’t feel like you have to respond to every event, as your brand won’t align with everything.
