Thanks for the update on that GA case. I remember hearing about it when it first happened, but I didn’t know the criminals had been punished--and so severely at that. Kudos to the grand jury and especially, the judge.
I’m blown away when people commit hate crimes (that don’t physically harm anyone), but then they act SHOCKED that they are punished for committing a hate crime. I read that as 1) they didn’t expect to be caught, and 2) they didn’t think it would be treated so severely by the courts. And why would they? American history has shown us that punishments like this are not the norm.
