Law and policy for a networked world
We are a group of researchers who study the regulation of networked society. Our work addresses a key social challenge: how can we create a more just and fair information society?
Our research focuses on how the internet is transforming the way that we communicate, and what this means for our laws and social norms. We are now more connected to each other than ever before, but our laws are not yet adapted for the digital age. We study how law and policy can react to our changing society in order to promote human flourishing and innovation.
We work to imagine and build a future information society that promotes human flourishing. We examine future models for an information economy and the pragmatic policy changes that can improve regulatory regimes in the near term. Our research focuses on:
- promoting good governance in the regulation of digital media technologies
- data civics (the management of data and analytics to enhance the common good)
- improving access to knowledge and culture
See our publications page for details about our recent work.
