You can’t actually miss them because you never knew your life with them in it, but you can’t help but think about how great it would have been. I miss things like this on behalf of him, because I know he never missed them for himself.

Caitlin St. Pierre

I was 15 when my dad passed away and 9 months ago I lost my mom. My dad missed my graduation, my first job, my wedding, the birth of my beautiful daughter and my mom will miss watching my baby grow up and all the wonderful milestones of her life. My parents will never be able to see the person they raised me to be and the way I will raise my children. But on the plus side, if there is one, is that they will not be there to see me going through all my troubles, the challenges life is going to throw my way. Not a single day goes by when I don’t miss them. So thank you Caitlin, for putting in words things I feel every day of my life.
