An Admiring Golden Barrel Cactus
Echinocactus grusonii known as golden barrel cactus is also considered rare endangered species located in the bioregion of Sierra Madre Forest & Mexican Dryland. It can reach about 3 meters in height, 60 cm in diameter. Their stem has naturally robust rigid & eminent ribs. The flowers become yellow to orange and purplish occasionally aromatic up to 8 cm across.
The cactus grows in low fertility areas, their nutritional requirements are low. E grusonii provides food to necessary pollinators. It fertilizes once a year in spring. A little nitrogen liquid is a good fertilizer for barrel cactus.
The barrel cactus is an attractive and pleasant model that can live over 100 years ago but firstly quick growing at first and then growth rate is slow down. When cactus dead it appearance is sheriveled up and shush like, also lose their spikes and frequently brown.
Golden barrel cacatus fruits taste is lemony as well as affluent in vitamin A and C. Its pulp can utilize as analgesics also promoted for treatment of Diabates, high cholesterol and obesity too…:)
