I am reminded of National Socialism — the idea that the Aryan race had its way of understanding the world, and the Jewish race had its way of understanding things. Supposedly, the racial difference made it impossible to agree, so what was left was the triumph of force, the victory of one racial viewpoint over the other. This is the ultimate result of the idea that one group can’t really understand another, and that common definitions of words can’t be accomplished unless one side surrenders to the other. Nazi theorists would find much to agree with millennial social justice advocates about.
