Mix of misconceptions 1, 2 and 3. I would have happily moved to any other country (I can do my job anywhere), but have stayed here because of my husband’s job and family ties. For me, home can be anywhere, but is it fair for him to have to leave his country because his wife is too European?
Also, how is it fair that we suddenly need comprehensive sickness insurance retroactively, when British people can get free medical care abroad on their EHIC card? If someone had told me that I needed insurance when I was pregnant with my child, I would have paid for insurance. Silly me, assuming that paying income tax means that I could use the NHS like anyone else in Britain.
