Finding Dillon Scott Part 1
Dillon Harley Scott was a 20 year old resident of Bureau County, Illinois who went missing early 2016.
Dillon lived in Depue Illinois at the time of his mysterious disappearance the exact date being a point of controversy as the police have a different opinion on Dillon’s case and dispute some events given by family and friends. While some disagree with the timeline all agree that February 27 2016 was the last time this young man will ever be seen.
His family and friends been frantically searching for answers ever since. Dillion was wearing a white t-shirt with a black windbreaker style zip up jacket, blue jeans and a pair of white Puma High Top style shoes along with his wedding band(Stainless Steel).
To understand the circumstances around the disappearance you need to know the facts about the situation(s) that Dillon had his life built around. Dillon Scott was a convicted felon, he made a mistake at age 18 and he chose to steal some scrap metal out of someone’s yard. Dillon paid for his crime and was rebuilding his life in the most positive way he knew how. For Instance he owned his home, a trailer he purchased himself and showed great pride in doing so. It wasn’t much but it was his. He was known to carry the deed to said trailer in his wallet and was fond of owning his little corner of the world. Dillon also had a wife who brought 2 kids from a prior relationship into the picture. Dillon was said to love those 2 children as his own, providing for them the best life he knew how. DePue, illinois. Dillon Scott had his priorities straight his wife Breanna however was involved with another man behind Dillon’s back. That’s bad enough but the man wasn’t just some stranger or random hookup, it was a man who dillon thought to be his “Best friend” Dillon was very suspicious of his wife so much that he was planning on divorcing her for her infidelity. Its not clear if Dillon knew that the man she was seeing was his childhood friend James L Pierson (Jimbo) But the facts are overwhelmingly in favor that being her outside of the marriage lover. out of trouble and married a girl and help her take care of her children but Dillon Scott didn’t have biological children of his own. All Dillon wanted was to be a dad and a husband but that desire never came to fruition. Dillon Scott was upset and bothered with his marriage and possibly his friend(unclear if that was known or not, seems unlikely) Dillon got into a argument with his wife Breanna and decided to stay the night with his best friend James L Pierson (Jimbo)
Timeline Events of Dillon Scott Activity:
- Dillon Scott went to Streator Illinois around 8:00 p.m. and he arrive at his dad place at 9:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
- Dillon Scott, boys and girls went to Casey General Store in Streator IL which Dillon Scott wife slapping him on the face then girls got back into the vehicle and drove away.
- Dillon Scott and boys went to Steak and Shake in Peru Illinois because of tire blowout on the pickup truck. Dillon Scott wife took the boys home to get the tire from Dillon Scott brother who have same exact model of the truck. so, they took Dillon Scott vehicle to go to Steak and Shake in Peru Illinois.
A witness reported that they saw both of the boys in a pick up truck with a blown tire. They saw a female pull up in a red car similar to the wife’s car. The boys got in the pick up truck and left. When the boys returned the witness reported they saw two vehicles pull up (Dillon’s vehicle and the wife’s red car). The tire was replaced and they now all drove their own vehicles and drove away.
Last reported events of Dillon Scott:
The wife told her friend that she was going to go get cigarettes and when she leaves the house she is gone for a good forty-five minutes.When the wife returned to the trailer she seemed upset and crying stating that she saw Dillon’s vehicle crashed in to a guard rail about a mile down the road (on the same road). She told the witness that she kept driving, she didn’t see the best friend, Dillon or his friend’s vehicle but there were police presence and she left because she didn’t want to get in trouble.
Dillon’s car was in a one car accident with his Cadillac on county road 3065 hall township Illinois. It was found westbound along a left curve with a guard rail only for the westbound traffic. The vehicle took out a large portion of the guard rail found on the road. The vehicle rested in the grassy area close to a tree. The driver’s door was reported to be opened. No one was in the car. Dillon was nowhere to be found. It is unknown who was driving the vehicle.
In the moring time, the events happen of the following:
The family and the police went to Dillon’s trailer very early about dawn to get more information.
Dillon’s brother allegedly banged on the trailer while Dillon’s wife and his best friend were in it, but they would not answer the door. The brother broke in to the trailer and asked what happened to his brother. The witness and family all report that the best friend continuously said he’s in the water and they’ll never see it again. It is unclear if he meant Dillon himself, or some kind of object.
Dillon Scott Mother notice a bag of clothes that were muddy and realized this was the clothes the friend wore when Dillon disappeared. Dillon’s family reported seeing the friend putting on Dillon’s gym shoes, the white Pumas they saw Dillon wearing at their house the night before.
Possible sighting or Unknown Person:
A man was seen by himself attempting to walk up to a house in Echo bluff about 1/8 to a ¼ mile from the accident site, possibly looking to use the phone. The house owners were a young couple and spoke to Dillon’s family. They stated that a man shorter than Dillon was walking up to their house, up the driveway, and the dogs began to bark which may have been what cause the man to leave right away, before the couple could open the door. The family does not believe this was Dillon, as Dillon stood between 6’ — 6’2 and this couple believed the man who was walking up to their residence was shorter.
In my opinion, I believe it was Dillon Scott Best friend because he was walking home from ditching his pickup truck by a cornfield.
DILLON’S JACKET AND TITLE TO THE TRAILER WERE FOUND AT THIS POLE ABOUT 200 YARDS FROM THE CRASH SITE in a field.
in my opinion, I believe there is foul play on this case because why would someone have his shoes not dillon scott. I also believe police should check the water such as pond, lakes or river to search for Dillon Scott. i been trying my best to get answer for his family and friends
