[AI TTS] How to setup ai_licia’s TTS
Adding AI TTS in your stream can make for good content, and bring more engagement in your Community.
Most of the AI TTS tools are just that: you ask them something as the streamer, and they will say something that can be funny, sarcastic, or whatever the tool provide. Or as a viewer, you send a message that should be read by the TTS.
We wanted to bring AI TTS in a different way, to open up new interaction potential, while involving the audience and the streamer.
By making ai_licia have TTS, you can leverage the full power ai_licia provides, while giving this extra touch of giving her a voice to speak.
Configuring TTS on OBS
Setting up ai_licia’s TTS on OBS is quite straightforward. It involves creating a Browser source on OBS, with the correct link from the Dashboard.
Let’s get that link first!
Head to your Account page, on the Settings tab.
The browser source here is what you need to setup ai_licia’s TTS on your streaming software and is common to all of your Characters.
Copy the Browser Source link and go to OBS to setup your Browser Source.
Create a new source (I called it ai_licia TTS), and use the following configuration, with the URL you retrieved on the Dashboard.
And voila! TTS is setup, and ai_licia can now speak out her message on stream!
Finding the right voice
Now that the technicalities are taken care of, we can get on to the fun: Choosing the right voice for your Character!
We provide 2 type of Voices, the Basic Voices, and the Pro Voices.
Basic Voices
Our baseline TTS is included in the standard ai_licia package. These voices are available in all supported languages, with one male and one female option, each offering variations based on age (young adult, adult, and senior).
Pro Voices
If you’re looking for higher-quality, more natural-sounding voices, our Pro Voices offer just that. These premium TTS voices provide a more human-like feel and can help enhance the immersive experience of your content.
With Pro Voices, you’ll have access to an extensive collection covering all supported languages, including:
- Community voices, featuring streamers who have cloned their voices.
- Impersonation voices, mimicking well-known figures.
- Handpicked voices, curated to suit various styles and preferences.
This feature is available through the Pro Voice Add-on.
General Settings
General voices settings works for both Basic and Pro Voices, and aims to provide flexibility on how to include ai_licia’s voice into your Stream.
Please note that you may have to Refresh the Cache of the Current Page on your OBS browser source when you update settings here. I’m looking at you, Volume.
Let’s talk about Target Audience. By default, ai_licia will say all of her messages, regardless to who she is talking to. Some streamers like that, but for more crowded channels, where ai_licia can be very chatty, it can feel like she is taking a bit too much space. Target audience allows you to restrict which messages she should say out loud, based on who she is talking to.
For example, if you have “ai_licia will only speak when addressing you directly” enabled, ai_licia will only say message directed towards you, the Streamer. It creates interesting dynamics where you can have discussions with ai_licia when you want to-and it synergise extremely well if you are using our Speech Recognition to talk directly to ai_licia.
You can extend that to also involve your Subs and your VIPs.
The Intro Sound can warn you when ai_licia has something to say. See it as an audio cue to blend her contributions better into your stream!
You are all setup and ready to go!
