The truth about following your passion (Should you follow your passion?)

Your passion is a very important part of your life and arguably the most important part of your life. It’s important for you and I to understand more about our passions and should we spend our time following our passions (or dreams). When I started to get into entrepreneurship, I read a lot of articles with many different opinions on following your passion. After thorough research and experimentation there’s quiet a simple answer to the question whether you should follow your passions or dreams. You guys know that I like to explain why there is this problem before we get to the solution.
The only reason I can think why there are so many opinions is that there are too many people who are just talking out of their ass and are not speaking from experience. You know me and that I only speak from experience and science. Take all of what I say with a pinch of salt and try it out for yourself. Remember I am only 16 years old and you should be taking action and trying all this out for yourself any way. Now to the solution.
It depends on your goal. Like almost anything you need to make decisions on, you need to make the decision based on your goal. Most people want to make money and enjoy a happy life. It’s a no brainer you want to spend most of your time doing what you enjoy (your passion). Wouldn’t it be amazing if you could be paid for the things you enjoy? Well yeah… but the question is, is it possible?
Yes it is but it depends. If your passion is writing and telling stories then you’re lucky because there are many industries where you can be paid well or start your business in like writing books, directing plays, blogging and so forth. Then what about the unlucky people who really enjoy something like knitting as a random example. Well you could start a knitting business but you wouldn’t be doing the knitting yourself as you won’t be able to grow your business to a large scale but there is the next best thing.
If you love knitting and if knitting is life for you, you should rather compromise. Maybe you like fashion a lot as well so you could start a fashion business and build your wealth from there and enjoy knitting on the side. This is just an example. If your passion is not something you can turn into a business you must look to the next best thing, but the most important thing to remember it that it must be something you enjoy and willing to spend more than 10 000 hours mastering your craft.
Hope you guys enjoyed this post on following your passion. Come back here if you want the truth. Nikhil Hagroo
