Thanks for sharing your tips Kevan Lee. I’ve got my eye on Buffer and CoSchedule as the two companies I’d love to work for. I, too, got the the nicest rejection letter ever from Buffer. I feel like I’ve still got a ways to go before I get on the level I need to be at to work for one of my two favorite blogs in the world with some of the best writing I really admire.
It sounds like I’m heading in the right track but my big question is this: How did you find the time to balance between paid work and labor of love work? I feel so exhausted and burnt out by the end of the day that I don’t have the energy to work on my own stuff and implement all the wonderful things I’ve learned about content marketing. Any advice for a gal who’d love to get paid well in a content marketing position like yours? I usually work with small business owners with zero marketing budget. I love working for them because of the experience I get, but I’m not loving the pay.
