You’ve all heard about positive thinking and how it can help us turn our lives around. You may scoff at it and call it a con but deep down you know it’s the truth.

Why? Let me explain.

If you think about we all assume we’re going to wake up tomorrow morning, right? Or if we’re going through a stressful time we all know and have used the saying there’s light at the end of the tunnel, right?

Is this not also positive thinking?

While you mightn’t believe some of the hype or teachings of a guru that came seem…

Why Do We Hurt Those We Love Most And How To Stop This — Nikita Lazarev

You love each other but can’t manage to communicate without arguing, fighting and ending up exhausted and thinking of how to protect oneself against a new attack. And despite that, you love each other? How is this possible? Why do people hurt most those they love?

How come we can’t express our love? How come we are full of good intentions but when it comes to reality we find ourselves again shouting and blaming the other one. And then that monster of guilt jumps out of nowhere to our throat to strangle us once again.

How to stop this infernal…

Hi everyone! My name is Nikita Lazarev and I used to be one of the co-founders of Peak of Man, but we decided to stop this project exactly one year ago — Figure 1.

Figure 1. Some of Peak of Man’s Logos (2017–2019)

A quick story about Peak of Man and this Medium Account

My very good friend Jay decided to create a website where he would post motivational posts and articles to help every man. It was an amazing idea and I was more than happy to help him develop this idea. I was in my first year studying for an undergraduate degree at the University of Manchester…

We are programmed to do things the hard and difficult way, in order to get what we want. How would it have been if they’ve told us the truth? That life is easy, wonderful. That miracles happen all the time and that we have the power to make them happen in our own life! That the universe loves us. That there is wealth and health for everyone. That we don’t live in a universe of scarcity but of abundance. That we only have to put the right thoughts in our heads to make these dreams real for us.

It is so simple and so easy to get what we want that we have a hard time to believe it. We are programmed to do things the hard and difficult way, in order to get what we want. We can not believe that we can get anything without hard labour, sweat and tears, obstacles
and misery.

This is nothing else but a tough old programmation, a conditioning from our childhood. If you are like me, you were bombarded as a child with expressions from adults about how hard life is and how we have to struggle to get something…

Can riches buy happiness? Wealth can buy many luxuries, but not happiness. Money cannot buy contentment.

Money can surely buy us time with a psychiatrist with who we can talk about our unhappiness, but no amount of money can buy us happiness. Sometimes more money, and status can rob us of happiness. Think of many very rich people. They cannot move around like ordinary citizens. They will be immediately stared at. They have lost a lot of freedom in quest of money and fame.

What gets us happiness? We get happiness by doing what we like. We do not get happiness by forcing us to do what we do not want to do. Our happiness comes…

Life’s ups and downs gotcha confused? Saying “No” when you really want to say YES!? Has life dried up and become stale? Did you stop dancing? Take a peek and rediscover a part of yourself lost in your mind.

Waking up as a little boy the excitement for the day’s adventure pumped through my veins and lit up my eyes. I’d look out the window at the bright sunshine, the hay fields, and the expansive blue skies and magical clouds. Once out in the freedom of the day, with no responsibilities, I’d hop, skip, jump, and run with joy, wonder…

I was listening to the MSNBC on the radio the other day when a feature came on entitled, “The Good Life”. They proceeded to discuss a $14,000 dessert being offered in Sri Lanka that included, amongst other things, an aquamarine. No kidding. This is how MSNBC characterizes the good life. It struck me how in our culture we define the good life more in terms of the consumption of material goods than in relationship to any other quality. What is a good life?

Simply listen to the vast majority of contemporary music on the airwaves these days for confirmation. I have two teenagers in my house so I know all too well: Cristal champagne, expensive cars, first class jet airline seats, bling the list goes on and on. This is what our kids are being taught: the good life is about having things, not about who you are as a human being. Where are these values coming from? I believe it is a trickle down effect from what they see being honored in our society.

So if the good life is about having…

Imagine being happy all the time. How would your life be different if you were happy all the time?

All of us want to be happy. In fact, in most polls, people say that they want peace and happiness more than anything else in the world. The problem is: most of us are looking in the wrong places.

But all has recently been revealed thanks to a multidisciplinary team of six British specialists who span a variety of disciplines from psychology, psychotherapy to economics who embarked on an unusual social experiment.

Their unusual challenge?

What does it take to make…

Are you constantly bombarded by thoughts of negativity? Plagued by feelings of insecurity? Do you see everything in a negative manner? The reason for this lies deep within your heart.

You are what you mentally and spiritually eat. If a person drinks alchohol on a daily basis, odds are their body will be affected in some way. They may have liver issues, develop cancer or incur some other type of health problem directly related to the amount of alcohol they have consumed. In the same way, a person who constantly feeds themselves negative thoughts will simply turn into a negative person.

This is the time to go on a diet. A diet of positive attitude food. You have to literally stop feeding your mind negative things. Ask yourself is this…
