Wow, thanks! ❤ I go back and forth about how I feel about it, and I constantly keep adding to it, but I really think it is in these nuances that we differentiate ourselves and find common ground, all at once.
Wow — I could have written this very story about my own spitfire eight-year-old. The exact same thing happened to us earlier in the summer. It’s so hard to know what the right decision is, especially in the water where there’s real, actual danger. Glad she marched right back up to the challenge after she’d had time to process!
Sounds like my husband with the laundry. I am very fortunate that he does it, because I would never think to do it on my own. Ha! We do actually put all the chairs up each night so it doesn’t get confused, and the model we have has LIDAR — a different nav system from the Roomba. I’d say it takes an hour or so, but we do it when we’re downstairs watching television in the evenings so none of us minds.
