“You’re tellin’ me I didn’t have to script that myself?”

Cinemachine and Timeline are two utility packages created by Unity, aimed at making it easier to orchestrate cinematic camera and event sequences.

The Timeline package is there to make sequencing events that happen the same way every time easier, all without the need to write a 400 line coroutine yourself.

Timeline functions much like an NLE, or non-linear editor, such as Sony Vegas or Adobe Premiere. The only difference is you sequence games with them, not videos.

Cinemachine, on the other hand, offers a slew of extra camera control tools. It makes it easy to handle camera movement, make them track specific GameObjects and smoothly transition from one camera to another.
