Seems that American dream is not over yet.. People still think that they can get rich by writing & selling books. The most interesting part though, would be the actual ratio of the people who self-publish & them who make the 6 digit figures.
Because, according to the article & the links, you have failed if you dont sale 1000 copies the first week or 10000 in a year.
Since mid of April that I published & launched mine, I have only sold roughly 80 copies.
According to them, I failed. But I really want to keep writing simply because I love writing & I have subjects to work on.
Writing & publishing costs zero if you do it because you love it. If you do it the same way you run a business, get prepared for risks, strategies, investments, competition, policies, profits & losses etc.
So, why to write a book? Why to write a second book?
This is the questions we have to answer. Guess what? We can only provide ourselves with the right answers; not the guidelines & frameworks from others!
I already have the answers not only for my second book but most importantly for my first (why I wrote, how I chose the subject, the audience I target etc)
