Thoughts about the current state of the app ecosystem.

Once in awhile, I’ll see an app that really gets me excited. Something fresh, something unique, something I *need* and wish I would’ve thought of. But recently, that feeling goes away…extremely fast. …

Every company needs one.

Startups are notorious for a lot of things. Burning through cash quickly, growing too fast, etc, etc. But fundamentally, it all comes back down to the mission. What the founders set out to do. It’s so easy to ride the wave of success and recognition. …

Let’s talk a little bit about building something with someone always watching. Maybe through a code project with Github or another kind of project where you’re just sharing to everywhere you can think of. …

I’ve finally reached the big 1 8! To me though, this isn’t really just a regular birthday. For one, it’s my Golden Birthday, but also, it’s the start of really cool things to come. It was mostly planned before, but 18 stands as the real start of what’s to come this summer and beyond. A few ideas to stay refreshed in the busy grind of development life.

As a developer, it’s easy to really get into your work for long periods of time and forget the days of week, but eventually, it does catch up to you. It’s really easy for some to be passionate about what you do, but sometimes (to keep your own sanity), you…

Let’s consider this a follow up to a post I wrote quite a bit ago about just pressing publish.

My start in web development was spent a ton on Github. Most of the time, it was focused on learning from others. It was sitting for hours and starting at libraries…
