Hillary Clinton and the complex system

Interesting article. It fails to mention the risks involved. Microsoft tried incrementally changing IE, Google and Mozilla built browsers from scratch and took over the lion’s share of the market. Our industry is littered with the companies that failed to move fast enough to stay relevant. Some names: Cray computers, Silicon Graphics, DEC, Wang Labs, Commodore, Atari, Sun Microsystems and many others were disrupted because they were not able to reinvent themselves. The question to ask is if the United States being disrupted by China. Do we need a major pivot right now to stay ahead of the game or do the SAFE incremental changes still do the trick.
