NimbusBase: Closing time and starting a new chapter at xAd

After over 2 exciting years of coding, product development and working together with a great team, we will be shutting down development on NimbusBase and joining xAd to increase their mobile expertise and help them on new entrepreneurial projects.

xAd

xAd is a mobile advertising company based in New York that uses location data to better target customers. xAd works with 1 million advertisers, including some of the biggest brands in the world.

Our team at NimbusBase found an immediate sync between the entrepreneurial culture of xAd and that of our own company. Excited by xAd’s plan to leverage its expertise into new areas, our technical team agreed to sign on and help in expansion with our mobile know-how and startup grit.

Every new beginning comes from some other’s beginning’s end. -Semisonic

Although we’re saddened to end a great chapter at NimbusBase, we’re excited to embark on a new journey at xAd.

Our Products

All NimbusBase products will be open sourced. Developers can still use our product in their projects. You can take a look at our GitHub and use our tutorials as before.

However, we are putting the breaks on new product development, and unfortunately won’t be able to support the product from a Q&A perspective.

Shout outs

Thank you to all of our investors: Kima Ventures (Jeremy and Vincent), Jerry, Seedstart (Owen and Brian), Kai and Nick. You guys believed in our vision and helped us above and beyond what was necessary along the way.

Thank you to Adriano and Idan for keeping us level headed and helping us to push ourselves. We hope that one day we will be able to help other entrepreneurs as you guys helped us. You took precious time out of your schedule to not only advise us through problems and strategy, but also actually roll up your sleeves to help us.

Thank you to the developers, bloggers, hackers and other people in our community who we worked with along the way.

Onwards and upwards!

Ray and Alex
