Find Joy in Discovery Again

As we get older, it’s rare to feel delight when you find something that seems perfect for you.

As children, everything seemed new and exciting and set in front of us solely for our discovery and exploration.

It’s essential to go uncharted as an adult. To take a chance on instinct or happenstance or to simply find time to wander.

Take a day and ban yourself from Yelp, Google reviews—recommendations of any sort.

Allow yourself to try anything that catches your eye. Maybe a turn down a side street you’ve never traveled through. Or, a book lying in the corner with an unknown author. Perhaps knocking on a neighbor’s door you’ve always wanted to meet.

Try finding something, doing something, purely for the joy of curiosity.

You never know what will spark that childlike delight.
