Racism: don’t close your eyes to it

“Well I’m not racist, and to be honest, the only racist people I’ve met are black or latino.”

A white male messaged that to me a week prior, as a response to a text I sent him, in which I criticized his racist, pre-determined ideas about black people. A lot of white people I know can’t stand to be called on their racist attitudes, to be criticised — even if it’s the truth.
