Okay. Self-reflecting: I support the Declaration of Indepence, which stated: “ We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.” Over eight years ago now, Mitch McConnell, then elected leader of the majority in the Senate, stated that it was his intent to make sure that the presidency of Barack H. Obama, the duly elected president of the U.S.A., failed, in direct contravention of the will of the people of the U.S., who overwhelmingly supported the election of Obama.

Now we have a Republican government that is hell-bent on passing a certain legislative agenda, one against the majority of the will of the people of the United States of America, those citizens of which overwhelmingly support gun control, same-sex marriage, and LGBTQ rights, who support the expansion of Medicaid and compassion for the sick and the disabled. These Republicans seek the failure of our entire governmental system, even if through subversion by foreign goverments, rather than admit to an error in their thinking. In 1776 the primary needs of the citizens of the U.S. were protection from foreign invaders, and the facilitation of free commerce among the states. Hello, wake up, the nature of the U.S. population, and the goals of its citizens have changed in the last three hundred years, yet Republicans would have us ignore history and would try to convince you that those who are working for peace, justice, and fundamental human rights are those who are advocating for a welfare state, when it is in fact Republicans who are trying to create a growing welfare state, one which receives no governmental benefits from which the poor can grow into a state of self-sustainability, one detetmined to eliminate the “poor,” the “disabled,” and those of the wrong skin color. Those who espouse an agenda of hatred and fear. You are sick, sick, sick, all of you, who support this retrograde agenda, and it makes me wonder if God hasn’t abandoned us after all, that fools like you have taken over the rule of my country. Matthew 25:40.
