How you can create your very own blog, just like I did.
Making, and designing the code for a blog is a long process. In fact, it was one that challenged me greatly. But, this isn’t going to be about me so much. This is about you, and how you are going to get your blog up and running as quickly as possible.
Now, you’ll need to learn some HTML and CSS. Keep in mind that HTML is for the text part of your blog, while CSS is all about style. CSS is crucial for your blog, and brings a lot to the table. Colors, animations, shadows, you name it. A lot of people often say that CSS is not necessary for your website, but I believe it is. Also, learning HTML and CSS by doing is a must for these languages. Try and play around on your text editor with HTML and CSS, and experiment a little bit!
The course above covers the basic concepts of both, and is made by freeCodeCamp. Code along with it if you can.
Now, for the writing. It is absolutely essential that you provide good quality writing to your readers, because that is essentially what your entire blog is. I personally know a lot of developers who have made great looking websites that are interactive, but fail to back it with good writing.
Keep in mind that your writing should have proper punctuation, as well as clarity and depth, while not being to wordy. Since writing your own blog is an ongoing process, move on to the next step if you’ve written your first article. Below is a video that might help you.
Wow, you’ve done all this! Congratulations! Now, for deploying. Remember that deployment is just basically releasing your website so everyone can see it. I can’t go deep into how to deploy your blog, but a helpful website might be Heroku, which you can click on below. Great Job for following all the steps! You are now going to have a great blog.
