The Walk is one of those rare movies which does everything perfectly. In my opinion it is one of the best movies to come out in 2015. I had the good fortune to watch it in IMAX and it was well worth it. Joseph Gordon Levitt gives a fantastic performance and really gets into the skin of the character.

He plays Philipe Petit, a tightrope walker who made history by stringing his wire across the World Trade Center in New York. The movie is like a biopic; it covers the early period of Petit’s life culminating in his walk across the World Trade Center. The special effects in the movie are stunning. The movie has quite a few vertigo inducing shots from the top of the World Trade Center. The box office nowadays is dominated by movies about superheroes and it’s a refreshing change to see a movie which has a totally different subject matter. This movie is a must watch by those who enjoy biopics.
