Live like a stoic Day seven Sunday-(Nature)

Nature is all around us, everywhere we look it’s there. The stoics believed that nature was a part of us rather, we were a part of nature in this cosmos. We and nature make up a small amount of space in this universe. In order to live like a stoic, the stoics themselves tell us to stop worrying as the worries are so small compared to us and nature. I found this thought quite strange simply because it’s quite illogical to remove our worries by thinking of them as being small compared to nature. It makes sense, as our worries are actually smaller than nature and the cosmos, but is that the way we should think? Isn’t thinking like this just the same as ignoring our worries? We can say our worries are too small compared to nature or we can parented that they don’t exist, but, this does not eradicate the worries from our thoughts. Our worries will still be with us. But there are positives with accepting our part with nature, if we accept and appreciate that we are a part of nature then we have some sort of closure to who we are and if we have this closure we can live a happier life. We can get closure to who we are by accepting nature, this statements makes no sense at first glance but there is meaning to it. Accepting we are a part of nature is accepting that we make up a small part of this universe. Thinking about it now, thinking like this does indeed help with overcoming our worries, this is the contrary of what I said before. We make up an incredibly small part of the universe. Why should our worries bother us if we’re so small in this universe? We shouldn’t worry about anything because we are too small in significance in this universe, why should something worry us if we’re so small? Thinking like this is an advantage to us, not only does it overcome our worries but it also makes us more focused on daily tasks which in the end may enable us to live like stoics. Overall incorporating nature into stoic philosophy was a meaning idea as it has meaning to it. It enables us to overcome our worries and live life to our fullest.
