Live like a stoic day three- Wednesday (Meditation)

Today the goal was to stay focused around my surroundings and to stay focused on what I did throughout the day. This was quite a challenged for me, as my attention span during class is quite limited. However I took some guidance from the handbook. I tried hard to stay focused during every class today, at the start it wasn’t easy, but as the day progressed I found that I could pay attention more easily. I also tried to pay attention to my surrounding by being more aware and alert as to what was happening around me, weather it’d be at school or outside of school. For example, what were people doing around me? What types of animals were around me? These small things that I normally wouldn’t pay attention to, but I did this time and I found it quite interesting because I liked observing my surroundings. I found it easier to pay attention to my surroundings than paying attention to what I was doing, not too sure why this was. I also tried the meditation technique by clearing all thoughts from my head this would result in me being more forced. I found this helpful while doing homework or completing other tasks. Overall, today has been a learning experience for me, I’ve in some ways learnt how to pay attention during school and outside of school- this includes my surroundings, I will be using the meditation technique more often.
