Fluid AMOLED display is a type of display technology developed by the electronics giant Samsung. This type of display uses organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) that are capable of being driven to very high brightness levels. Compared to traditional LCDs, OLEDs offer better image quality and a higher contrast ratio, as well as lower power consumption. Fluid AMOLED displays are used in a variety of devices, including smartphones, tablets, laptops, and smartwatches.

what is a Fluid AMOLED display?

Super AMOLED display with a high refresh rate 120Hz that makes pictures and videos super smooth without any lag. This display also uses MEMC (Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation) which makes the user experience very smooth.
The fluid display uses 20% less power than other displays or 80% less sunlight reflection and a 20% brighter screen.

Resolution and pixel difference of Fluid Amoled Display and other display

Displays use edge-to-edge and are of 120/90Hz refresh rate, at 2k resolution the company decided to name its display as Fluid AMOLED display. They further explain that Fluid AMOLED displays are AMOLED display screens designed for less power consumption while producing more vivid images.

AMOLED stands for Active Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode. While this may sound complicated it actually isn’t. We already know about the active matrix in TFT LCD technology, and OLED is simply a term for another thin-film display technology.
OLED is an organic material that, emits light when a current is passed through it. As opposed to LCD panels, which are backlit, OLED displays are ‘always off’ unless the individual pixels are electrified.
The term “Fluid AMOLED” used in OnePlus and many devices on its most advanced devices basically highlights the high refresh rates employed, which results in more fluid animations on the screen.

A Fluid AMOLED display is a type of organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display that is used in smartphones and other electronic devices. OLED displays are known for their excellent color reproduction, wide viewing angles, and fast response times. Click here for more details.
