I’ve been summoned to events at which I have to look nice, ranging from weddings and upscale birthday parties to televised panels and satellite media tours. I need clothes.

For weddings and upscale birthday parties, wear your Modcloth digs. For satellite media tours, I don’t know enough about your audience. But it would be good to ask … someone ? … what televises well.

I am wearing a dress (pockets!!!) at work right now. Drape neck, flared skirt. It’s the kind of thing I’d feel comfortable wearing at a wedding too. In very specific walks of life, being a woman and professional at work gives you a more rigid dress code than men have. But, for many of us, it’s an opportunity for more variation.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
