THE FOUNDER

Bettina B. Scheibe, Founder and Managing Director of NIUCAP VENTURES, is an experienced and dedicated early-stage VC Investor, passionate people connector and true deep tech enthusiast with > 12 years track record in industrial tech & enterprise software. She sourced and led investments in > 20 tech startups steering them from pre-seed to series A. Bettina further served as board member at various German hardware enterprises (incl. fields like quantum tech, robotics, energy storage, digital health, agritech, logistics automation).

Bettina is driven by startups who change the world for the better based on technology. She focuses on high profit / high impact business models that meet the following criteria:

1. long-term impact focus deeply rooted in the business model from day 1

2. cross-funding of impact initiatives out of company's profits (internal/external)

3. contribution to solving global challenges such as the UN Development Goals.

In the last decade, Bettina has moved across the globe (living and working in Germany, China, U.S. and Sweden). As COO and Global Director BD at a British-Chinese startup, she successfully built up the company's international distributor network in 30 countries (B2B + B2C), and gained experience in what it means to run a startup in a fast-paced Chinese environment.

It is here that she discovered her passion for China and learned that we can solve any innovation challenge together if each unlocking our full potential.

Today, Bettina lives in Shanghai where she runs several IMPACT projects, such as a podcast series in collaboration with GINN (the "German Innovators in China" network). She further supports international startups in their China market entry, opening up her network to entrepreneurs and accelerators in Shanghai, Beijing & Guangzhou.
