Haha. I loved the part about being charged for webpages. 😂

I think SaaS products have provided so much enhancements to the way we get work done. Companies which make good revenue are fine with paying the price rather than sticking to a clunky platform. Startups are fine with the free version of the tools and finding their way out with other products.

It also boils down to the question of you doing 10 tasks with 10 different tools compared to doing all the 10 tasks within one integrated tool.
