Many people struggle these days with the global lockdown and social isolation, bringing unpresedented stress to levels unwitnessed ever before. In the months to follow, many souls will suffer further from the economic consequences the first will definatelly bring us. Being an artist myself, I have always used art as not only inspiration, but also therapy in hard times. I choose to curate my social feeds with people that create and inspire others, dispite any circumstances. Nearly all of artists below work from Bulgaria, the poorest country in the EU, for clients and projects all around the globe. If you happen to enjoy their art and want to support them, you can buy a print, t-shirt or commission an illustrarion for yourself or a friend. A few have published books, albums and catalogues I will try to cover in my upcoming posts. Most of them share something beautiful almost daily, have Youtube channels, showcasing how they work, what kind of equipment they use and other useful and pleasent info. So I hope you’ll find their work soothing as well!

  1. Eliza Ivanova, after working for Pixar animator for several years, and having two kids, she continued as a solo artist, making mostly hand drawn illustrations, refining a seemingly very loose and freeform style with an incred lots of control underneath.

2. Angel Ganev is a self taught artist, who has grown a lot, refining his style and technique for the past three years.

3. Mira Miroslavova has already illustrated several children’s books, combining in a very delicate way pencil and digital drawing.

4. Petja Evlogieva is famous amoung many for her colorful, almost childish approach. As a surprise to many, it is also quite popular for tatoos, which she creates along her parner, Evlogi in their studio. She has published several personal books with story about a foxy character — Liska, selling some prints and cards with her as well.

5. Kaloqn Stoqnov has made himself a distinct presence with combining traditional ethnic Bulgarian costumes and themes.

6. Svilen Petrov, a.k.a. spovvv makes lots of personal mascot illustrations, as well as game art.

7. Miroslav Petrov a.k.a. Mikey is deep into the concept art for games, but enjoys sketching random monsters just for the sake of it. He has published two very beautiful, solid albums with works.

8. Martina Petrova possesses a rare cute and sweet touch with very delicate and expressive characters. I hope she could illustrate some school textbooks and classroom.

9. Svetlin Velinov makes light, fire and monster mayhem with such ease, you can definatelly tell he’s deep into the game business. Velinov travels regularly for events, signing cards and meeting with fans spanning the globe.

10. Marta Andreeva is a seriously skilled character artist already, developing masterfully an entire range of emotion with intricate details and humour.

Please comment which you like best, and since I have the next 10 list already made up, I’ll put it up in several days. Enjoy art online and stay home!
