What Language Will Babies Speak If You Isolate Them From Outside World?
This question didn’t come to only your mind while getting the shower. Many leaders in history have thought about it, and many have made unethical experiments. These experiments are called language deprivation experiments because communication in any language is prevented. The aim of many is to find the general language of humanity. As a result of these experiments, it is estimated that Hebrew, Greek, Latin, and Arabic will be spoken, since they are the languages of the scriptures and ancient texts.
There are people who had to live a life in isolation from people naturally in the past. Some people grew up with bears, sheep, cows, goats, and even ostriches. These people usually show similar characteristics to the animal they grew up with. However, although these people learned many things afterward, many of them could not learn to speak.
However, there is another group that has to live in isolation from other people in terms of language, ‘Deaf people’. No contact was made with Nicaraguan deaf children until 1980. These children, who were isolated from birth due to their deafness, were brought together in the country’s first school for the hearing impaired after the country’s revolution.
There is actually no need for voice to communicate. Communication is the common legacy of humanity, the inevitable result of beign a human.
Sign language was tried to be taught to these students, but contrary to expectations, a much more weird situation was encountered. Instead of learning the language that is being taught to them, these students developed a new sign language among themselves. Language experts were studied to understand this new language. Again the result is surprising. According to language experts, this new language developed by children is both a very complex and rich language.
We do not know how the languages we still use today emerged and how they evolved into thisc current state. But there is something we know ‘Talking is the most elemental way we can share the knowledge we have’.
We are beings fed with knowledge, we feel the need to share what we speak, so we have developed up to 6300 languages from history to date.

It always wondered what would happen if you put babies somewhere and isolate them from the outside world and a lot of unethical experiments were made on this topic. All of these are find the source of what we call as mother tongue. Indeed, in a deeper sense, to understand what being a human is. Perhaps, the way to do this is not isolating others but ourselves. Maybe in this way we would start think more, talk to the book we read and build our own language. That language would not be belong to Phrygians, who lived in Anatolia as once Pharaoh of Egypt suspected, It would be the language that ‘All the language is the implication of thought’ as philosopher Immanuel Kant once said.
