LDPE masterbatch is a low-cost polymer with favorable mechanical and chemical resistance in the processing of plastic materials. Unlike many other plastics, this base resin offers flexibility and durability in different temperature environments for plastic products such as pipes. A advantage of master batch with LDPE base substrate is its high stability with low toxicity. In fact, many layers can even be used for food and medical exposure applications.

Comparison between LDPE masterbatch and LLDPE / HDPE master batch

LDPE masterbatch is widely used in plastic mold processing processes due to the flexibility of the material. In addition, we can find that this material is present in medical devices, packaging due to its safety, specifically LLDPE master batch is odorless and nontoxic to users’ health. Compared with other base resin such as LLDPE and HDPE, LDPE’s high pressure environment resistance is superior to the others.

HDPE masterbatch also has advantages because it is more transparent than LDPE (Robertson, G.L., 2006), which is considered an advantage when producing products that require high brightness. However, the performance of LDPE can be significantly improved by combining it into a double-layer tube. Moreover, although HDPE offers the most flexibility for the outer layer of the product and can be extended to an area larger than LDPE, but LDPE plastic products have higher plastic strength. In addition, during extrusion, cutting, due to higher viscosity of LLDPE, the ratio of processing is much more difficult than that of LDPE masterbatch.
