This program is putting forward some of the best and independant Sigfox experts, be in the embedded systems part and/or on the cloud application side.
Tiyani Nghonyama is one of them, get to know him better in this short interview.
Hello Tiyani, can you tell us a few words about yourself ?
I am a Computer Systems Engineer with passion for harware/electronics, born the northern part of South Africa — Limpopo and can speak 6 of the 11 country’s official languages (Tshonga *, English, Venda, Tswana, Zulu and Zhosa).
I am the co-founder and COO of a youth ICT startup called Geekulcha.
What was your first experience with Sigfox ?
Early 2018 at Hackathon building a locale weather system as a demo project. Adapted it to various programmes.
Giving workshops around the country on devices connecting on Sigfox. Unearthing and igniting innovation in the grassroots with Sigfox had been a great highlight.
What are your plans for 2020 ?
Providing a stepping edge for new IoT based startups is key and shall be pushing a national footprint.
Personally, will be making/building IoT Solutions that directly seeks to enterprise mankind.
Shall continue working with Government entities in Public Sector Innovation development and unlocking opportunities and sigfox with Sigfox.
