Physical vs Intellectual Effort in Photography.

Brilliant take on the main efforts of photography. Indeed the ease with which we can take photos has moved many of us to a more intellectual way of seeing. I’m still in the fail and question phase of my journey (as a writer I’m joining different aspects of visual photos and the text, all trying to say more within a pic(s))

So, if you don’t mind, I have a few questions: where do collages fit in all this? What about what David Hockney said in terms of his move away from the “paralyzed cyclops”? It seems a promising move to me, but do you have, perhaps, any examples? Any books I should further read on the matter?
