Victor Cruz Signing with the Chicago Bears by Sean Bielen
Former New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz has recently just finished recovering from multiple injuries and played his first season with the New York Giants after recovering from his injuries last year which also ended up being his last season with the New York Giants. Victor Cruz who is now 30 years old was released by the Giants earlier this year after catching 39 passes for 586 yards and one touchdown in 2016, his first season back in almost two years after a run of injuries. The Victor Cruz agreed to a one-year deal with the Chicago Bears on Thursday. NFL Network was first to report the deal. Cruz appeared to confirm the news in an Instagram post. “The Giants will forever be family. But for now, Bear down!!! 🐻⬇️”. Victor Cruz claimed that the Giants froze him out and he took that as sign of not being wanted on the team. “I felt it all year long,” Cruz said. “Halfway through the year, I’m balling; the other half I’m not getting the ball. And you’re just like, ‘What’s going on?’ It was like, ‘OK, I see what’s happening. They don’t want me here anymore.” and Coach Ben McAdoo disagreed with Victor Cruz’s claim. Giants coach Ben McAdoo said there was “no accuracy” to the claim. I think this news is great news because I am glad that Victor Cruz is getting another opportunity to play football and hopefully he will have a good season with the Bears. I think this is important to sport fans and fans of the NFL, especially the fans of the Chicago Bears.
