I’m a little too moderate for Medium, but I’m trying to broaden my horizons.

I have a legitimate question? Why the letter format for this piece? I didn’t feel like it really added anything, and made it seem quite pretentious. Not trying to be condescending, but it’s my honest feedback. It appears that this letter was predominately written to illustrate a point about male honor, and paternal relationships, but the letter seems to want to also be taken authentically, and I think it clashes.
