Bryan Cranston is possibly one of the greatest actors that we have ever seen. Most people know him as Walter White from the hit AMC drama Breaking Bad, as well as its spinoffs, Better Call Saul & El Camino.

Many know him as Hal, the lovable goofball dad from Malcolm in The Middle, but many may forget, or never even know, all of the incredible work that he has done as an actor, the seemingly impossible dedication that he has to his craft, and his insistence on nothing but the best, no matter what the role.

In Cranston’s new book, A Life in Parts, we learn so much more about his extremely unorthodox path to the top, and everything that was happening behind the scenes along the way.

From a young age, Bryan Cranston was slightly interested in acting, but the one who really sought fame and fortune was his father. He would frequently start new businesses that were doomed to fail, as well as try to attain some sort of fame by any means necessary, from running a tour company that would take tourists to the homes of local celebrities, acting in small parts and commercials, to even writing his own screenplays with little success in any of his methods.

Years later, Bryan still had no interest in becoming an actor professionally. In his younger years…
