A trip to Japan that no one knows. 100 years ago. The ferry is a daily field work for the people. The bride-to-be gets on the boat in her bridal gown.

Tokyo Shrine with photos of Japanese people 100 years ago.

A sanctuary standing close to the Tama River.
The river seems to have changed its location as it flooded, and in the Nanbokucho Period, the Yaguchi ferry was located near Shinden Shrine, 1 km from here, and in the Edo Period, near Higashi Hachiman Shrine here.
It was a means of livelihood for the people of this area, and its use was free of charge to the villagers.
For daily work in the fields, for portable shrines. It is nice to feel that various people crossed this ferry by boat and lived.
