CARV Node Sale: Sale Details + Up-to-100% Buyback Program + Community Whitelist Giveaway— Part 2

The previous article provides an overview of the project to help you make an educated decision on whether to invest your hard-earned money in it. In this article, we will provide more information on how to participate in the Node Sale, give you a 🏷️ discount code🏷️, and announce a Whitelist Giveaway for our community participants who used nodehodler discount code in the last node sale.

CARV Verifier Node License

Verifier nodes are lightweight nodes managed by the community. They play a crucial role in maintaining the protocol’s integrity, thereby enhancing its trustworthiness and security. Currently, these nodes primarily check TEE attestations on-chain, verifying that the results are reliable and that the process maintains the privacy of user data.

Up-to-100% Buyback Program

In order to empower our community to participate confidently in building the foundation of a sustainable, user-owned internet, CARV is pioneering a mechanism: the Up-to-100% Buyback Program.

Eligibility: Node license holders who have maintained 70% or higher participation rate, and have not redeemed any veCARV rewards to $CARV (veCARV is a non-transferable token primarily used for protocol governance) will be eligible for the buyback program.

Timeline: From six months post Token Generation Event (TGE), node license holders have 7 days to participate in the Program.

Execution options:

100% buyback with $CARV, value equivalent to the price of nodes denominated in USDT at the time of node purchase. 30-day linear vesting from time of buyback. OR

80% immediate buyback in ETH, value equivalent to the price of nodes snapshot in ETH at time of purchase. Immediate ETH release.

10,000,000 $CARV is allocated from treasury to ensure a 100% buyback with a 30-day linear vesting period. Node license holders will keep all airdrops prior to participation in the Program.

Some of the bought-back nodes will be reallocated to existing active node operators to further incentivize their participation. The rest will go to the CARV treasury, with potential uses including sharing node operation rewards with $CARV stakers, or conducting node resale or burning.

How to Purchase Nodes

Step 1 — Go to sale page and connect your wallet

While purchasing nodes does not require you to KYC, claiming node rewards requires KYC.

Step 2 — Get ETH on Arbitrum

The CARV Verifier Node Sale will be on the Arbitrum Network. You will need ETH for purchase and gas fees

How to get ETH:

Option 1 — Purchase ETH on Arbitrum (Uniswap)

Purchase ETH directly from any Arbitrum DEX

Option 2 — Bridge ETH to Arbitrum with Arbitrum Bridge

For users with existing ETH on other chains, you can opt to bridge to Arbitrum using the Arbitrum Bridge (https://bridge.arbitrum.io)
Be sure to leave sufficient ETH in your wallet for gas

CARV will conduct the verifier node sale on the Arbitrum network using ETH.

Step 3 — Select available tier and click “Purchase”

Step 4 — Set the amount of node(s)

Step 5 — Click “Approve”

Step 6 — Input promo code “nodehodler” for a 🏷️ 10% discount🏷️ if it is not already applied

Step 7 — Purchase your Verifier Node License

Step 8 — Confirm your purchase

Step 9 — Success!

Congratulations, you have now successfully purchased your Verifier Node granting you access to operate a node on CARV!

Whitelist Giveaway for Our Community

Because our community showed a nice performance on the last node sale, we are able to get partnerships with new projects and get better deals for US! In this sense, CARV prepared a nice gift for us:

3 whitelist spots for Tier 5;
5 whitelist spots for Tier 6;
7 whitelist spots for Tier 7.

These whitelist spots will be gifted to people who participated directly in our last success, i.e. people who participated in the last node sale using the nodehodler promo code. If you are one of them and want to have a chance to receive a WL for the CARV Node Sale, feel free to fill out the Google Form. (P.S. Submit the wallet address only once. The duplicates and wallets that do not correspond to the abovementioned criteria will be removed :) )

THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING YOUR WALLET ADDRESS IS 19TH OF MAY 12PM UTC!

One important thing to mention is that one wallet can only buy one node during the whitelist sale (i.e. if a wallet is eligible for tier 1, 2, 3 and 4, during the whitelist sale, the wallet can only get tier 1 Node).
