Go To Indie Shows
Indie shows especially in the major hubs of the music industry (LA, NY, Amsterdam, London, etc) get tons of industry folks because they are looking for next great artist.
Go to Listening Parties!
These are a chance for indie artists to play music, give feedback, and connect. Label people, managers, agents, often come. For example our friends at Audius recently threw a great listening party in Hollywood.
