Kenya’s Kuhustle, The Fiverr For Africa Has Been Selected Into Y Combinator Fellowship Program

Africa startups is now being seen as the go-to area when it comes to innovations and investing this day. Entrepreneurs are now sprouting in solving major problems facing the Africa continent. In regards to this, Kuhustle came into being. Wondering, what’s Kuhustle?
Kuhustle, is a marketplace that connects young and able Kenyas with various organisations looking to hire professional and affordable service providers on a project basis.
The Fiverr like startup was birth out of the serious need for a reliable and efficient local platform on which developers, creative designers, and content marketers can express and showcase their talents to various institutions and organisations.
However, kuhustle has been accepted into the Y Combinator Fellowship Program. And will be joining Ghana counter-part Tress, the online sensational hairstyle sharing community for belle. Over the years, Kuhustle has recorded quite some ground breaking success; it has generated more than $120,000 in revenues from over 4,000 users thus far and had 18,000 users, with 130 jobs posted per month. The YC Fellowship is designed to help launch startups currently in their early stage. It’s an eight-week program that equips startups with $20,000 (in the form of a convertible security) and advice from the YC community.
Am happy seeing this development in Africa startups. I believe there are more to come for us all. But, before then, let’s continue to be a solution provider.
