Going to Uyuni, Bolivia? Don’t miss out on the Salar de Uyuni. With an area of 10.000 km² it’s the world’s biggest salt flat and could easily cover the whole city of New York under it. Fun fact: under its surface 70% of the world’s lithium reserves can be found. Above the ground tourists come mainly to admire the breathtaking landscape, observe wildlife such as several species of pink flamingo and take hilarious perspective photos.
