Finding Freedom in Letting Go

Last summer I found myself in a situation where my eagerness for change hit too hard.

After spending years establishing myself in the capital of one of the Scandinavian countries, struggling to find comfort between the long winter seasons and high rents for living.

I decided to try something new, after years of building up a stable income, I didn’t want to spend most of my income paying rent and get stuck because of it.

The power of Letting go

I was finally in a situation where I could work completely remotely, and let go of every belongings of my established life.

I planned my next chapter, including finding ways to perform my work-related tasks through apps on my iPhone, so work and travel would easily combine.

I sat myself some daily key points to make sure work and travel would fit my new lifestyle:

1️⃣ Spend 3 hours daily fulfilling everything work-related.

Living the nomadic life on my terms

In November, I was ready to pack my Osprey backpack and fly to the south of Spain. As lucky as I am, with the ability to work remotely.

Since then I have checked out my key points daily, and everything has turned out just as I hoped.

With the power of modern world technology, and with my iPhone as a hotspot for Wi-Fi, I can bring my work wherever I want.

With the views from the mountain as an office

Combining the things I love the most in life, has given me the feeling of freedom. With my MacBook in my backpack, I can turn every inspirational situation into my office.

I have had days where I worked on my daily tasks from the mountains overlooking the beautiful view of Torremolinos in the South of Spain.

And some days with the view from a beach club as an office.

What it took to establish Freedom

Before I found myself in a situation where I could travel as I wanted, with the world as my office.

I see the internet as my playground, where I constantly strive to improve my skills and knowledge. With a persistent eagerness to learn and grow, I push myself to new heights every day.
