We have started a project with the help of AMAL Academy regarding developing the habit of book reading in young people. This project has another phase which will help in providing the books to the needy stratum.

I have been observing for quite a period that people are being dispelled from book reading. They prefer spending their time on social media platforms, entertainment sites or simply playing games. So time by time we are having less books in our home as compared to our parent’s era. Our project’s focus is also on restoring that golden period when people actually care and love books.

Importance of this drive:

Everyone got spare or should I say old books that are just getting the dust on the shelves or not being touched for years. The reason may include that you are have already gone through them, you are not interested in them or they may not belong to you like they belong to people who have passed away. What people usually do with them, they get them boxed and sell them to a ragman. Those books might not be of any value to you but they can en light others, someone might get the very information, he/she is searching for or they can catch the interest of the person who can benefit from it. So each book got a worth whether they are old or new, their value never dwindle.

Give the gift of reading.

Second phase is just for helping the needy stratum. It’s a call for donating a book. Donate children’s book to local families in need. You can help by bringing new or gently used books from the grade of preschool to intermediate.

Donate a book, shape a life

It will be like a Book Bank where people can acquire the books they need and return them, whenever they are done with them.

As we know there are a couple of families, who can’t afford the book course as they are already trying hard to make both ends meet. So your books can help not only their family but the children themselves. I came to know about couple of people who want their children to get education but can’t afford the expenses. There are some who can’t get their children in good schools because of high fee structure.

The need is simple, children need books.

These people can’t afford the schools but if we provide them books and a small setup for education. They can get their children the education that they were not able to get themselves. This step is for improving the literacy in our society.

We will get it done by sharing this very idea on social media platforms, so people who want to donate books or people who deserve them can get them through us. We will also encourage people to convince others to donate books and convey our message. Its like sharing is caring. We will update the list of books on social platforms that we will receive from you so people who want to have them can get them though us.
