As I’ve mentioned about my wisdom teeth surgery before, I started to research more to prepare myself for the changes to come. Having 4 less teeth in my mouth is definitely quite a few to lose and a lot more space freed up. But after thousands of floss sticks I needed to buy over the years in order to clean those impacted pearlie whites thoroughly, it didn’t make sense anymore.

Finally an opportunity came and I decided to go ahead to make an appointment to remove them. I considered Invisalig ns initially post-surgery, but after I learned all about root resorption and a whole lot of other issues that can’t be detected through the X-ray, I weighed the pros and cons and decided quite quickly that I did not want to possess a perfectly straight but potentially highly problematic set of teeth.

I love food too much to choose aesthetics over the actual wonderful functions it can provide me. I honestly hate eating or drinking anything lukewarm. Like my comforting savory bone broths and sour citrusy popsicles. I either have them piping hot or iced cold to be in for the full ride. The tooth enamel is the hardest substance in the body, yet most of us wear them out too early, too soon.

I’ve watched too many people wincing in pain over many meals together to know the price they have to pay. They can’t even enjoy ice-cream properly! All that push-pull and loosening of the teeth, the risks of roots breaking and extra teeth sensitivity, it’s just not worth the pain for me. I want the health…
