Di Sun, MS-HCI in Interactive Computing track

Di received her B.S. degree in Informatics at University of Washington iSchool back in June. Di’s undergraduate studies developed Her cross-disciplinary interests and skills in programming, UX/UI design as well as business analysis. She can program using Java and can do basic web programming. Though, She considers herself more as a designer than a programmer. She is quite familiar with doing user research, making personas, wireframes, low/high fidelity prototypes, conducting user tests, etc.

Meijie Xia, MS-HCI in Industrial Design track

Meijie is a designer with a combined experience of interaction design, industrial design and user experience. He earned an MFA in Visual Communication Design and a BA in Industrial Design before he came to Georgia Tech. In the past three years, he has worked as a designer in some amazing companies and organizations like eBay, SAP, Philips and offer design solutions for print, web and mobile. He is interested in solving people’s everyday problems in a real world context where social issues, media infrastructure, and communication technology intersect.

Nivedita Arora, MS-HCI in Interactive Computing track

“Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.” Nivedita looks at how technology can be seamlessly used to make life better and answer questions like how we can better connect with physical world around us. Nevidita has interests in assistive technology, healthcare, interactive interfaces. She is also a keen observer and try to understand how things work. She is always inspired by a dream, illusion, science fiction, story, chaos, or empathy and, technology and design tools are the brick and mortar to build those ‘dreams’.

Ning Xu, MS-HCI in Industrial Design track

Ning’s professional skills are focused on UX Design, Graphic Design and User Research. She used to think in a graphical way when it comes to visualizing interaction. Her undergraduate major was Game Design, thus she also like to add gameplay factors when design for daily-life. She has worked in both software company and UX design studio, and participated in various mobile and web projects for well-known brands.
