What’s your story? The @NonprofitOrgs Community Wants to Know
Hello #AFPFC attendees,
My name is Heather Mansfield and I blog at Nonprofit Tech for Good and tweet at @NonprofitOrgs and thanks to a sponsorship from the Public Interest Registry, I am here in Boston at #AFPFC. On Tuesday I’ll be spending the afternoon interviewing nonprofit fundraisers live on Periscope and Instagram — or at least that’s what I hope to be doing. I need to your participation!
If you work at a nonprofit (or have in the past) at a nonprofit and are in fundraising, please DM me on Twitter to schedule a time for your interview. For each interview, you’ll need to allow 20 minutes of your time. We will do:
- A 5–10 minute interview live on Periscope and on @NonprofitOrgs about how you got started working in the nonprofit sector, where you work now, how you’ve seen the sector change over the years (or your first impression of the nonprofit sector if you are just beginning your nonprofit career), and your thoughts on the future of fundraising. The interview is meant to be casual and personal.
- A 15-second video interview on Instagram in response to the question: What is your number one piece of fundraising advice for nonprofits?
- A Snapchat photo using a face swap and emojis of your choice. Don’t worry if you have no idea what that means. You can learn hands-on while we take the photo.
The interview(s) will then be uploaded to YouTube, archived on Storify, and blogged, grammed, snapped, posted, shared, and tweeted.
Interviews will begin at 12pm on Tuesday afternoon in the working area to the right of Room 106 (take the bridge across Exhibit Hall — the working area is on the left). Interviews are scheduled for:
Josh Hirsch, MS
Marketing and Membership Coordinator
Director of Development
Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education
University of Oklahoma
1:30 pm: Available
Again, please DM me on Twitter to reserve your interview time slot and thank you very much in advance!
