Prior to the release of the Firebase ML Kit, Face detection was part of the Google vision package. As of now, further support for the Face detection, Image classification and OCR (Optical Character Recognition), would be available in the Firebase ML Kit.
I recently dabbled into the awesomeness of the Face detection package, which is included in the Firebase ML Kit and so far, the experience has been good. Its a good choice for Face detection for the following reasons.

I have known Andela for quite sometime now and have always admired what they do to transform the tech ecosystem here in Africa, especially in Nigeria.
