Outcasts with class and sass

I like sitting at the back of my class with a few close friends. When I voiced out this thought my friend said, “Yeah,we’re now outcasts.” The shoe fits perfectly. Then again, why is outcast even a word we use as an adjective? A devotedly sad word. One can only use such a word when you truly don’t have a place to belong. That is never the case. There’s no use for the word ‘outcast’. Unless you’re using it for theatrical reasons, don’t use it. I have a place I believe I belong in. A small group of friends who are more than I could ever ask for. We are in our own way classed and sassed. So, I’m sorry, the shoe doesn’t fit and I’m glad.
