The aesthetic of Cuckoo Callay’s colourful dishes are so eye pleasing that you need a moment to take it all in (and snap a few grams) before you devour it and discover an implosion of delectable goodness. A particular favourite of Cuckoo Callay would have to be the Annual Bacon Fest! It’s a mix of bacon driven experimental dishes & brilliant bacon puns! A friendly tip would be to get there early as sometimes there can be a bit of a wait for a table.

Shenkin Kitchen
Shenkin is a family owned collection of cafes spread throughout Sydney’s inner west. The coffee served up here definitely helps in maintaining the Inner West’s superb reputation for delivering some of Sydney’s best coffee.
The Baristas at Shenkin have a flair when it comes to the perfect cup of coffee! They seamlessly nail the combination of strength and creamy lightness time and time again. One of Shenkins defining feature items would have to be the Shakshuka. This middle eastern dish of poached eggs cooked in Shenkins own tomato, capsicum & garlic sauce is a must try! Especially on a cold winters morning.

Manoosh covers all the BASES when it comes to pizza from your classic family favourite’s meat lovers and supreme to a “Vegans Paradise” and Pepperoni Cheese Steak. Manoosh also have a crazy good range of Lebanese style pizzas. Manoosh is held SUPREME in the eyes of inner west locals.

D’munchies is fairly new on the Newtown food circuit. This is a place for the adventurous and daring food lover.
This newby has proven it can hang with the king street veterans. Its American inspired menu maybe a little unorthodox but don’t let that fool you. The J-Rizzler burger which consists of D’munchy style fried chicken, smoked bacon, hash brown & lettuce covered with tangy maple mayo and velvety Cheetos cheese sauce is out of this world! Whoever thought of Cheetos sauce deserves to be knighted.

Italian Bowl
Italian Bowl, yet another Newtown Institution. The Italian Bowl serves up some of Newtown’s finest pasta and will fill the emptiest of stomachs!

Happy Chef
Happy Chef is another King Street legend and local favourite. You will not find a better combination wonton noodle soup this side of the “I have a dream” mural.

It was a bright night when Doughbox opened up it’s doors in Enmore. This 50’s Pinup American diner themed creperie is heaven!

Cow and Moon
Cow and Moon is the bee’s knees. It’s not just us that thinks that — Cow and Moon have won numerous awards for its Ice-cream including 2014 Worlds Best Ice-Cream at the Gelato World Tour title in Rimini, Italy.
Every flavour is sure to please, it really is amazing in every sense of the word. If you go to Cow and Moon you need to try the prize winning world famous Mandorla affogato flavour. Cow and Moon also have a delightful selection of sweet pastries from brownies to cannoli, Cow and Moon is sugar fiends dream. Since winning the 2014 title of World’s Best Ice Cream the lines here have been a little long by a little long we mean stretching around the corner you would be wise to get here early.
